The Cancer Card Xchange post office box was not filled with gift cards this week. It was filled with gratitude and grace from people all over the country dealing with cancer. I am humbled and honored to transform your generosity into a moment of happiness for them.
"I want to say thank you for the gift cards I received in the mail. They came at a perfect time. I was having a terrible day and this brought a ray of sunshine. I am truly grateful."
"What a kind and generous thing to do for people fighting this horrible disease. It will help our whole family."
"I appreciate you thinking of me. This is such a caring and unselfish thing."
"Thank you is a simple phrase that could never fully express our gratitude for your love, thoughts, prayers and gifts."
"Thank you so very much for the Walmart and Visa gift cards. I have to travel 2 hours one way for my doctor's appointments. I will use the cards for gas."
Please spread the word to your friends and family about what we are doing. Ongoing donations of newly purchased gift cards or re-gifted ones are essential to brightening the day of more cancer patients.
Overwhelmed with gratitude,
Emily Tickle Thomas
