October FUNdraising

Many of our local friends have generously offered to support The Cancer Card Xchange during the month of October. As always, we are overwhelmed with gratitude.

Please take a look at what the first month of Fall has to offer:

Chick-fil-A in Collierville made a generous donation of gift cards and is hosting a FUNdraising Day on Thursday, October 13. Eat at the Collierville location any time that day and mention The Cancer Card Xchange - 10% will be donated to CCX. Also, monetary donations will also be collected that day. Donate $5 and receive Free Chicken Sandwich coupon.  Be sure to "Like" their Facebook page.

inkBLOT designsSTUDIO is creating a limited edition necklace - only 50 will be available for purchase. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to CCX. For more information, see their Facebook Page, where orders will be taken, starting October 16.

A Note of Thanks

A family of a CCX gift recipient asked us to share this note of thanks to show how this simple act of kindness makes a difference to someone with cancer. As always, overwhelmed with gratitude.

Dear Emily,
I just wanted to thank you for the gift cards your ministry sent to my brother Danny last week. As you know, Danny is suffering from stage 3 lung cancer and is really struggling right now.  Financially his benefits from work have reduced his salary down to about 40% of what it was last year. Imagine if your salary was cut 60 % at the same time your medical bills increased by about 200 percent. There is not much left for food, clothing or anything else. Danny is a single dad raising 2 teenage children and the gift cards you sent were such a blessing to them all. I pray that God will richly bless your ministry and that good things will come to it as you continue to reach out to others with this terrible disease.
In His Service,
Dina Foshee
