Gratitude

Since launching June 1, we have collected hundreds of gift cards (We are halfway to our goal of 501 x 501c3.) and thousands of dollars in donations. Most importantly, we have made gifts to 112 people with cancer. One hundred and twelve people from all over the country dealing with surgery, chemotherapy, radiation. One hundred and twelve people of all ages hopefully were given a bright spot to remember in their journey.

501 x 501c3 Campaign Update

To mark the milestone of applying for 501c3 nonprofit status, we launched the "501 x 501c3"campaign on November 1. Our goal is to collect 501 gift cards by the time our 501c3 status is granted. 


It is with overwhelming gratitude I can report that we are nearly halfway to that goal already. Several groups have collected gift cards at holiday parties, past CCX recipients have sent in gift cards and many people have given gift card and cash donations in honor of loved ones.


We still have time to reach our goal before our 501c3 status is approved by the IRS. So tell your friends, ask your church group, find out if your office or children's school is looking for a community service project. Gift card donations can also still be made in honor of loved ones as holiday gifts, and CCX will gladly send acknowledgement cards. 

Since launching in June, gifts have been made to 106 people all over the country. Our hope is, through this effort, we will increase the inventory of gift cards on hand so that we can focus more on giving to people dealing with cancer in 2012.
