Ms. Thomas,

I have kept the article from The Commercial Appeal about your efforts to brighten the day of cancer patients through gift cards. My wife, my two sons, my daughter-in-law and I have been incredibly blessed with good health and careers and, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, we want to reach out to you to offer some assistance. We would like to help you in your ministry efforts (that is what I consider it).

Thanks for what you are doing to bring some happiness and assistance to people who are going through the experience of cancer.

We are almost to our goal of sending 30 gifts in November. We have sent 17 so far this month.

In all, we have sent 351 people with cancer $36,560 worth of your gift card donations.

I opened my mail today and received a card from you filled with gift cards and all I could do was cry. I'm very thankful that someone thought of me to be a recipent. I'm speechless and very grateful. I was just diagnosed in August, only 2 weeks after my 29th Birthday, and this has been a very scary process for me. I just completed my MBA and was preparing to enter a new phase in my life and go forward with my life goals and I was thrown off my path with cancer. I'm praying to be a success story! Normally I am the one who puts together surprises for the people I know and I'm rarely the one some does something out of the way for and to know someone cared enough to brighten my day is an honor and it has definitely made my day! Thank you for this program! God Bless You all!!
